Pastors Brett and Michelle Dunstan have been actively involved in ministry since the mid-80's. Pastor Brett is a 1985 graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Michelle also attended Rhema. After getting married in Tulsa, Brett and Michelle moved to Lawrence, Kansas, where they were very active in the ministry of Helps at Zoe Christian Fellowship under Pastor Lonnie Snow. Michelle was the church secretary and Pastor Snow's "right hand" as well as a key member of the worship team. Brett served as one of Pastor Snow’s assistant ministers . Both were active in outreach ministry, including traveling with church witnessing teams to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, the Indy 500 in Indianapolis and Jamaica.
In 1991, the Dunstans moved to Boise, Idaho. When a Rhema church began in Boise, they immediately hooked up and began to use their gifts at that church, Believers Family Church, under Pastor Brent Jensen. They quickly advanced as leaders, getting involved in music ministry, office administration and as youth pastors. They became volunteer staff members and assumed many leadership responsibilities. They began the church missions program, organizing and taking groups of youth and adults every year to help with Camp meeting on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Kaibeto, Arizona.
In 1997, when Pastor Brent died unexpectedly, and his wife Karen took over as Senior Pastor of the church, Brett was promoted to Associate Pastor and he and Michelle became her main armor bearers. They were instrumental in guiding the church through the delicate transition time, and their leadership duties were expanded over the next several years to include, among other things, a dynamic Children's Ministry and running the Music Department. As youth leaders, they are strong participants in the Idaho Youth Network, reaching teens all over the state. Under their direction, the BFC worship team has flourished and now ministers at festivals, youth camps, and church meetings throughout the West.
In 2001, Pastor Karen resigned the church to move to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Brett and Michelle became pastors of Believers Family Church (now know as The Builder’s Church), where they continue their standard of excellence in ministry as Senior Pastors. Under their capable leadership, the church continues to grow and reach out, both in Boise and as a regional church, through ministry to the whole family, music ministry, and dynamic children's and youth ministry.
They have three children who love and serve God in the ministry along with them - Allysa, Michael, and Bailee.
